Our Voice Asheville hosts the 2011 Walk a Mile in Her Shoes & we're helping gather 300 brave men to walk through our city streets as a part of the International men's march against rape and sexual assault and gender violence.

We are so excited to start painting and a little re-modeling. Monday Aug. 30 thru Wednesday Sept. 1 we will be closed to do a little work. Our doors will open back up on Thursday Sept. 2nd before Labor Day weekend and the LAAFF Festival.

brittany is our new intern at hip replacements. she started the middle of last week and is doing an awesome job!

recent graduate of appalachian state university, she majored in "apparel & textiles" and minored in "marketing." she moved to boone from fayetteville, georgia because she was drawn to the mountain views and the small-town community feeling. while there, she flourished under the unexpected pressures of the fashion design degree requirements, and further developed her love for small business.

long story short, that's how she found us! graduation is pending--for fashion majors--the completion of a 400-hour summer internship. while with us, she will be learning everything from bookkeeping to merchandising to running festival booths.

she'll be here quite a lot, so come in and meet her!
